Farm House Renovation
A 190m² extension and full renovation of an original farm homestead for our Canterbury-based clients, integrating structural upgrades and a complete reclad with carefully detailed additions - including farm-milled redwood ceilings and new outdoor living spaces - to retain heritage character while delivering modern performance and functionality.

A 190m² extension and full renovation of an original farm homestead, including complete reclad and structural upgrades.
The project required careful integration of new and existing forms, improving layout, insulation, and performance while retaining the scale and character of the original dwelling.
Interior ceilings were crafted from redwood milled on the family farm, embedding material provenance into the build. A new outdoor kitchen and dining area was constructed to connect directly with the existing pool and decking, strengthening indoor-outdoor flow.
A comprehensive rural renovation combining heritage respect with modern functionality.
